Why did you want to replace your old deck?
We wanted to remove the rotten wood deck, extend the deck, and add a roof over the main deck to enhance our outdoor living space at the back of our home.
What is your home style?
We live in a traditional, split-foyer home that backs up to a farm and the national forest in WV.
What Trex products did you use and why?
We chose Coastal Bluff decking with the black railing, complete with a Spiced Rum cocktail rail on top and Coastal Bluff fascia. We picked this color to offset the light brown siding on the house.
What drew you to Trex decking?
We were drawn to Trex because it is low maintenance, the color options, brand recognition, warranty, and it was highly recommended.
What was the easiest part of building with Trex?
The online tools, instruction manuals for railing and clips, and talking to the Trex team helped make the build go smoothly.
What is your favorite part of your new deck?
How it looks! We've created a relaxing outdoor space overlooking the kids playing in the pool.
What are your favorite new memories on your new deck?
My favorites would be dinner with my wife and children, morning serenity while having breakfast, and my morning coffee.
What are you looking forward to most with your new deck?
We are excited to have our friends and family over throughout the summer to enjoy the pool. And, relaxing on either the back deck of the house or the pool deck.
