How many lbs of bags does Trex recycle at the Winchester plant per week?

Currently we estimate that over 720,000 pounds of bags are recycled in our Winchester plant each week. That’s close to 48 million bags a week!

140,000 recycled plastic bags are in the average 500-square foot composite Trex deck.

How many countries does Trex get bags from?

Currently we get bags or bag related materials from US, Canada, Spain. In the past we have received bags from Mexico and Chile.

  • Trex trailers used to transport wood dust utilize vegetable based oil hydraulics.
  • Trex factory runoff/refuse is recycled back into the manufacturing line.
