Celebrated artist Terence Gower specified 1,000 square feet of Trex Transcend® for SuperPuesto, using the industry’s number one brand of high-performance decking to create a structure reminiscent of a traditional puesto – a typical market stall found throughout Latin America – and juxtaposing it with the clean, sharp lines of modernist architecture. For his color scheme, Gower selected Island Mist, our newest tropical color, which delivers a silvery shade featuring realistic streaking that mimics the natural look and feel of tropical hardwood.
This unique installation is a perfect example of how the versatile design of high-performance Trex products can complement any vision – whether it’s an artist’s masterpiece or a homeowner’s backyard.
If you’re in the New York area, we encourage you to stop by and see this unique structure for yourself, as well as the corresponding exhibit, Beyond the Supersquare. SuperPuesto is located across from The Bronx Museum of the Arts at the Andrew Freedman Home Garden, 1125 Grand Concourse between 166th and McClellan Streets, Bronx.
