New Profiles and Improved Surface Finish Boost Aesthetics and Design Flexibility
WINCHESTER, Va., May 9, 2013 – Trex Company, the world’s largest manufacturer of wood-alternative decking and railing products, is expanding its TrexTrim™ line with the addition of new moulding profiles. The result is one of the broadest portfolios of exterior trim available on the market.
The new TrexTrim moulding profiles include a Garage Door Stop, which is designed to help seal the gap between the garage door and the doorjamb. It both improves a home’s energy efficiency and prevents dirt, insects, wind and moisture from entering the garage. Additionally, a new 18-foot Brick Mould profile is ideally suited to trim windows, entry doors and garages –enhancing the curb appeal of a home. Both new profiles offer the same longevity, durability and ultra-low maintenance of the entire TrexTrim collection.
Along with new profiles, Trex has improved the surface aesthetics of its moulding offerings with a matte finish that is aligned with contemporary home design trends and was developed as a direct result of homeowner demand. The new finish also more closely matches TrexTrim boards, sheets and builder profiles.
“With a wider variety of moulding profiles and a new matte finish, Trex is proving that we will continue to grow and innovate our TrexTrim product portfolio,” said Ron Kaplan, chairman, president and CEO of Trex. “For our dealers and distributors – as well as building professionals – these options provide additional opportunities for profitability and design flexibility.”
TrexTrim features a proprietary PVC technology that is uniform in color, density and dimensions, while offering crisp lines and clean routed edges for a smooth, seamless and professional appearance. Backed by a 25-year limited warranty, TrexTrim provides homebuilders with superior workability for easy cutting, fastening and painting.
