Trex Delivers A "Total Package" Outdoor Living Portfolio At The 2019 Remodeling Show & DeckExpo

SHARE

WINCHESTER, Va., October 16, 2019 — Can one booth hold it all? That question will be answered at this year’s Remodeling Show and DeckExpo in Louisville (Nov. 6-8), where Trex Company will showcase its industry-leading portfolio of innovative, eco-friendly products. The world’s largest manufacturer of wood-alternative decking and railing and leader in high-performance, low-maintenance outdoor living products will reinforce its unique position as a one-stop resource for decking dealers and contractors.

“Our goal is to make it as easy as possible to create dream outdoor living spaces with Trex,” said Leslie Adkins, vice president of marketing for Trex Company. “A big part of that equation is being able to provide everything a contractor may need for a project, from the foundation to the finishing touches. Trex offers the most extensive and most integrated product line in the industry and we plan to highlight that at this year’s show.”

Starting from the ground up, following is a rundown of the products Trex has in store for the 2019 Remodeling Show and DeckExpo:

SUBSTRUCTURE

Trex Elevations® Steel Framing

When it comes to decking substructures, Trex Elevations is top-of-the-line. The only steel system that’s code-listed for exterior use, Elevations is manufactured with dual-coated, galvanized steel that won’t warp, twist, split or decay, and creates a remarkably flat deck surface. It also has the ability to be bent and shaped to allow for everything from curves to angled corners. Additionally, it’s more lightweight than wood and can span up to 15 feet, resulting in the need for fewer posts and allowing for more usable space below the deck. Furthermore, Trex Elevations is made from recycled (and recyclable) materials and is backed by a 25-Year Limited Residential Warranty.

Trex® RainEscape® Deck Drainage System

Taking moisture protection to the next level, the Trex RainEscape Deck Drainage System shields floor joists, protecting them from water damage and deterioration that may occur over time and guarding the structural integrity of the deck. Using a network for troughs and downspouts, the system diverts water away from a deck, not only preserving the substructure but also making the area under the deck useable for storage or as an additional living area that can be outfitted with everything from lighting fixtures and ceiling fans to furniture and electronics. The easy-to-install system is now available in black to blend better with darker Trex decking colors.

DECKING

At the 2019 Remodeling Show and DeckExpo, Trex will showcase a revamped decking portfolio that offers trade professionals an expanded range of high-performance, low-maintenance options at price points to appeal to an even broader spectrum of consumers.

Trex Transcend®

For homeowners seeking unparalleled performance, aesthetics and design flexibility, Trex’s flagship Transcend collection reigns as the industry’s top-rated composite decking. Offering the industry’s best scratch resistance and high-definition grain patterns that mimic the beauty of exotic wood, Transcend is available in 10 premium shades – five multi-tonal Tropical hues and five updated monochromatic Earth Tones that feature more natural, refined grain patterns.

Trex Select®

Moving along the tiered Trex product spectrum, Trex Select offers high-performance and low-maintenance with premium scratch resistance and design flexibility. This Trex collection features a solid profile that allows the boards to be curved. The boards can also be incorporated into Trex railing to create cocktail rail, offering a flat surface for balancing beverages.

Trex Enhance®

Re-engineered to put pressure on treated wood, Trex Enhance boards feature a scalloped profile that makes them lighter weight for easy handling. This design also results in lower cost. Enhance boards are available in two color collections: Enhance Basics, which includes three proven and popular monochromatic shades, and Enhance Naturals, which offers five new multi-tonal hues that resemble the streaked look of natural wood.

Made from more than 95 percent recycled material, all Trex decking products require no sanding, staining or sealing and are backed by the company’s 25-year Limited Residential Warranty and 25-year Fade & Stain Warranty.

RAILING

In addition to its world-famous decking, Trex also will showcase an expanded railing portfolio featuring today’s most sought-after looks, along with new railing panels and pre-packaged railing kits engineered to make selection and installation easier than ever.

Trex Signature® Railing

Building on the success of its commercially inspired Trex Signature® Rod Rail, Trex has expanded the premium end of its aluminum railing line with the addition of mesh and glass rail. The new systems feature one-piece rail designs that can accommodate either 304 Stainless Steel Trex mesh inserts or ¼” tempered glass panes. Minimalist, sturdy and modern, the Signature railing collections are designed to span long lengths for panoramic sightlines. Premium-grade aluminum offers superior strength, while the durable powder coating allows the material to retain its color and resist corrosion. For additional peace-of-mind, all Signature railing is backed by a 25-year Limited Warranty.

Pre-Assembled Panels

Driven by a commitment to “make it easy,” Trex is offering its top-selling aluminum Signature railing in pre-assembled panels for simpler and faster installation. The black horizontal panels feature square balusters and are available in 6’x36”, 6’x42”, 8’x36” and 8’x42” configurations. To further save time, Trex offers posts with pre-mounted brackets for line, end and corner configurations for both 36” and 42” rail heights. Combine pre-mounted posts and panels for one of the fastest installations in the industry.

“When it comes to deck building, we understand that time is money,” noted Adkins. “Field testing has shown that these pre-assembled railing panels can reduce assembly time by as much as 50 percent.”

Curated Railing Kits

To help simplify the railing selection process, Trex is offering six of its most popular Transcend® Railing and baluster combinations in packaged kits, making it easier than ever to buy, stock and sell these sought-after railing looks in the industry. All of the pairings are offered in 6 ft. and 8 ft. horizontal, 8 ft. stairs, and 36-inch and 42-inch height dimensions to suit any outdoor living space.

ADD-ONS AND ACCESSORIES

Rounding out the company’s comprehensive outdoor living portfolio are a wide array of innovative accessories designed to enhance durability and aesthetics:

Trex® Outdoor Lighting

Taking any outdoor space from invisible to inviting, Trex Outdoor Lighting enhances curb appeal and safety with fixtures that can be easily integrated into deck boards and stair risers, as well as railing posts and caps. The plug-and-play components are easy to install and feature energy-efficient LED bulbs that are dimmable and cool to the touch.

Trex® Pergola

Offered in a variety of standard sizes as well as customized designs, Trex Pergola kits provide architectural interest as well as the perfect amount of shade and privacy. The newest design, Element, combines shade, style and low-maintenance in a sleek, modern pergola offering the high-performance characteristics of an all-aluminum structure. Element’s durable aluminum construction allows it to be installed in a variety of climates. In addition, Element is finished with an ultra-durable architectural coating, which offers superior weathering properties. This unique coating also expands the available color choices with 47 standard color options.

Trex® LatticeWorks

Trex LatticeWorks adds instant curb appeal and added privacy to any outdoor space. Offered in a wide range of decorative, durable and paintable patterns, the high-performance, low-maintenance lattice is made of lightweight, weather-resistant, easy-to-clean PVC, making it ideal for deck and porch skirting, privacy walls, gazebos, fence panels and more.

Trex® Protect Joist and Beam Tape

For wooden substructures, Trex Protect joist and beam tape is designed to shield the tops of joists, rim joists, ledger boards and beams from moisture that can lead to the development of rot and wood decay. New this year, the self-adhesive deck flashing tape has been re-engineered with a non-skid surface, making it easier and safer for contractors to walk across during construction.
