How did you come to choose Trex for your project?

"When remodeling our home, we chose industry-leading materials to help prolong our investment in our home. We wanted something that was sustainable and known for long-lasting beauty."

Did you have any hesitations or concerns about choosing Trex? If so, what? 

"We initially weren’t aware of the color options that Trex offered and were surprised at the range of options we found. We ultimately decided on Rope Swing."

Which Trex decking collection did you use? Why did you choose that particular collection (color, grain pattern, price, etc.)?

"We used Trex Transcend® decking in Rope Swing, Trex Transcend® railing as well as a Trex® RainEscape® system."

What would you say are the greatest benefits of building with Trex? 

 "Knowing it will outlast other options, with a finished look that we will not need to stain or paint year after year."

Did you use any of the Trex online resources or tools during your design or building process? If so, which ones and what was your experience? 

"Having all of the color options available to look at online helped narrow down our choices. Once we knew what Trex offered, we went to our local dealer to see samples in person."

What is your favorite aspect of your Trex deck? 

"The finished look and color as soon as the installation was complete. We also love that we won’t need to paint or stain our deck in the future, so we can spend time enjoying our deck, rather than maintaining it."

Did you incorporate Trex railing or other accessories, such as Outdoor Lighting, etc.?

"We used Trex Transcend® railing to enclose the entire deck, and finished the bottom of the deck with Trex® RainEscape®, and soffit to allow for us to hang a chandelier in a covered seated area."

How do you use your Trex deck? 

"The deck is off of our home office above our garage. We have used it in the past to enjoy the outdoors while working. The area created thanks to the Trex® RainEscape® system, allows for a beautiful, covered area to be enjoyed in our pool area."

Any tips or advice for other homeowners that may be considering using Trex for their outdoor living spaces?

"We love the options Trex gives for a variety of budgets. If you don’t know where to start, use their visualizer tools for planning and budgeting. For those who don’t know, Trex® decking is back with a 25-year limited warranty and is low-maintenance to keep the deck looking beautiful from day one.
